fetched my dad back from the airport last nite

and i saw my lecturer who went to US for holiday..

so surprising...

just came back from shopping with pastor and paul

we bought literally everything we need from one place!

went down to ah pek's warehouse...

he has so many stuff man...

we even bought the bass there...

we bought the crash cymbal, mike stands, bass drum resonant, guitar strings, cymbal stand, chimes and stand, triangle...

all super cheap...

didn't buy the monitors yet though...

even though pek has them...

this coming sat bob, from mpcc or COR (not sure though), who was the overall in charge for the "Arise" concert in indoor stadium will be down this week to help balance the sound system and look at the requirements for our new system... sort of evaluate our current system and plan what we need to get...

paul will be down to help me out with the drum tuning stuffs...

wow...

it's like we managed to clear so many things in one day... one place...

PRAISE GOD! :)

dad left for china this morning to purchase goods.. he'll be home next monday nite or tuesday morning..

i left him a note telling him to take care, smoke less, and that i will keep him in prayer
went down to see sier's mum as well as sier and his family...

din really say much to him...

cos i was pretty much afraid i will say the wrong things..

..

Sier... we're all praying for yr mum, you and yr family... dun lose faith

my 1st gig bag!

paul sold it to me... :) he got a new and pretty huge one... cos his mallets and sticks need more room...

well... i've yet to add a pair of mallets to my personal collection... maybe soon bah... but no hurry yet

gave it a good scrub last nite... now it looks just like new...

great... now i can switch between my rods and sticks much faster.... as the bag can be hooked to floor tom.. yeh!

and my extra drum key, lug oil, allen keys can go into the pouch in front of the bag... :)

just came back from meeting my dear...

had dinner...

told my mum about what happened to sier's mum... she knows her anyway.. though not very well..

then after that i asked my mum why all these years she hasn't been attending church...

then she say feel uncomfortable...

though she din say much..

i went on to tell her the importance of a relationship with Christ...

she was silent but not angry or what lah... she just kept keeping the plates into the cupboard (in the kitchen btw)

well..

this is the first time i've encouraged my mum to attend church...

it feels weird but well... have to...

afterall who knows when judgement will come...

what will happen next...

ya.. and there's my dad

i gotto start encouraging him to quit smoking

it's been 30 over years and he's going by 1 to 2 big packs per day...

bad...

well... life's meaningless without Christ...

this is a good, though abit weird start...

must continue to encourage my parents..

hmmm...

dun really like my FYP supervisor

i emailed her like 3 weeks ago and she nv replied..

today when i finally got her in her office (after looking her up for several times in vain), she was like "is it? i'm your supervisor? wait.. i check) :-|

i was pretty excited when i told her i want to do an ecommerce website selling cymbals and drums related stuffs...

then she asked me a whole bunch of questions like "how would your site stand out from others?"

i was quite blank for most of the questions she asked...

well... supervisors are supposed to help out...

all my other friends' supervisors gave them ideas to build on what they have decided to do...

and mine... well.... i think she was tired bah... cos i looked her up around 4 plus...

well.. i dunno...

but at least she did give a couple of constructive comments...

i was thinking abt my FYP on my journey home...

think there's lots of work to be done...

and e-commerce web site can only, the most, obtain a C for FYP...

well... i cant be bothered with grades as long as i pass cos this is what i m better at... and this is something i m passionate in doing...

well... gonna pray for guidance and discipline along the way... :)

i know it's gonna be fine!

new sticks!

Zildjian Dennis Chambers Signature series... :)

this has got to be my more expensive sticks... just becos of a signature... :-|

cost me $15.60....

my vic firth 5A cost me $12 if i remember correctly...

zildjian's quality is not that good... just after one music practice... the area near the tip where i hit the crashes becomes a little fuzzy...

but i guess this is how bad it can get... cos my zildjian 7A sticks look a little more worn then the condition of my D.C. stix even after using for quite some time...

but i like the feel of it! its slightly thinner in diameter compared to 5A... i m very comfortable with it! :)

maybe i will go down swee lee next week check out their vic firth heritage sticks...

well.. in no hurry though... just has this urge to find an even better pair... :)

well well...

today's discipleship class is quite a surprise!

the questions and answers seems as though speaking to me ever so directly

this morning when i did my QT... it was about the same stuff!

and i was glad for my QT, only to discover that God decided to put some "icing on the cake" and get me even more prepared...

great man! Praise the Lord! :)

still have to pray though... :)

but well.. it will be alright i believe..

Forgiveness is a miracle of the will that moves away the heavy hindrance to fellowship, a miracle that will be fulfilled when the two estranged people come together in as fair and harmonious a new relationship as is possible at that time and under those circumstances.

I was fuming over some matters just now.

I'm glad God gave me His word, and siblings in christ to turn to.

And also, the wristband "WWJD" which is on my desk...
Savage Garden - Santa Monica

In Santa Monica, in the wintertime,

the lazy streets so undemanding I walk into the crowd

In Santa Monica, you get your coffee from the coolest places on the promenade

Where people dress just so Beauty so unavoidable, everywhere you turn

it's there.

I sit and wonder what am I doing here?

But on the telephone line I am anyone,

I am anything I want to be.

I could be a super model or Norman Mailer

And you wouldn't know the difference Or would you?

In Santa Monica, all the people got modern names like Jake or Mandy

And modern bodies too

In Santa Monica, on the boulevard, you'll have to dodge those in-line skaters

Or they'll knock you down

I never felt so lonely Never felt so out of place

I never wanted something more than this

But on the telephone line I am anyone,

I am anything I want to be

I could be a super model or Norman Mailer

And you wouldn't know the difference

On the telephone line I am any height, I am any age I want to be

I could be a caped crusader, or space invader

And you wouldn't know the difference Or would you?

this song just poped into my head..

very old song... remembered i like it pretty much when i was like... ermm.. sec2?.. haha..

the lyrics are pretty good...

the arrangement is nice too....

i remembered towards the end of the song there's a dial tone "droooo drooo drooo drooo"

then the song ended with a telephone click...

Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days

Psalms 90:14
today arlene asked all of us to search for our favourite verse.... couldn't really think of any at that moment and began frantically searching my bible for one... yeah.. looking thru those brightly highlighted ones... and i chose this verse (anyway i think most of us were looking for a favourite verse at that moment... so well.. haha), here goes :

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5 - 6

hey! this verse seems rather in line with my previous blog entry rite? ...

what's the reason behind our very existence?

i think i have to think abt this as a constant reminder as i move on in my life... that i may not stray off track

Wednesday, September 3, 2003

i've cropped my hair shorter after that disaster which took place 2 weeks back in an ulu hairdressing salon(the auntie doesn't earn the title "hairdresser" but i'll still give it to her anyway)

anyway i managed to save myself from further whining when i visited QB house just now..

gee... not bad at all... the service's pretty cool...

the ticketing system seems rather gimmick...

while the cupboard behind the mirror to keep my bag seems a swell idea... at least i dun have to swipe my hair off my bag, which i put at my feet during the hair cut, after leaving the place..

well.. ok enuff abt hair... anyway i dun think the cut is any surprising... i look like just how i always look with short hair... :P

except without color... hahaz... i think i might get it colored nex month bah.. :P

yep... tmr's the discipleship seminar at Covenant EFC....

hmm... hope it's worth my time... no no no... it's definitely worth! :)

i've got common test on friday... and the subject happens to be my weakest.... yipes... java programming...well.. it's actually called Windows Application Development... scary.... as u guys noe... java is never my cup of tea nor ice milo... but well.. i'll give my best shot.. :)

kk.. shall make the full use of an hour to do some revision before i go to slp..

tmr morning waking up real early to meet the guys for breakfast at greenridge at 745am... and i have not woken up so early on a weekday for ages man....
